Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
The CEO provides overall leadership for Hasoub in partnership with the Board. The role is responsible for setting and executing strategy, securing philanthropic and government funding, and ensuring strong organizational performance across programs, people, operations, and finances. The CEO also ensures alignment and effective governance across Hasoub’s subsidiaries.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
Co-develop Hasoub’s strategic direction with the Board and translate it into annual plans and measurable priorities.
Build a mission-driven culture with clear accountability and high performance standards.
Fundraising & Partnerships
Lead fundraising strategy and execution, with a focus on philanthropy and government funding.
Build and steward relationships with donors, foundations, government bodies, and strategic partners.
Oversee grant development, compliance, reporting, and renewals.
Organizational Management
Lead the senior team; recruit, develop, and evaluate staff performance.
Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure effective internal systems and coordination.
Financial & Operational Stewardship
Lead annual budgeting and financial oversight; ensure responsible use of funds and compliance.
Strengthen internal controls, operational efficiency, and risk management.
Subsidiary Oversight & Alignment
Provide governance-level leadership through board participation in Hasoub Angels and Hasoub Labs.
Ensure alignment of subsidiaries with Hasoub’s mission, strategy, and standards.
External Representation & Impact
Represent Hasoub with key ecosystem stakeholders and partners when needed.
Ensure strong impact measurement and reporting to the Board and funders.
Qualifications
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Public Policy, Economics, Social Sciences, Engineering, or related).
Preferred: Master’s degree (e.g., MBA, MPA/MPP, MA in Social Impact/Development, or equivalent).
Minimum Requirements (Must-Have)
Senior leadership experience (typically 8–12+ years), including 3–5 years in an executive role (CEO/Executive Director/General Manager/COO or similar).
Demonstrated experience leading strategy, operations, and organizational execution in a mission-driven organization, social enterprise, or ecosystem-building initiative.
Proven people-management experience leading a team of at least 7 employees.
Proven experience managing an annual budget exceeding NIS 7 million.
Strong stakeholder management skills and comfort working with a Board of Directors.
Excellent communication skills and high integrity.
Preferred / Advantage
Proven experience raising philanthropic funding (in addition to government funding).
Deep familiarity with the Israeli and global entrepreneurship and high-tech ecosystems.
Strong familiarity with government programs and tools that promote entrepreneurship and innovation.
Deep understanding of Hasoub’s target audience—entrepreneurs, startup founders, high-tech employees, and students from Arab society—and a demonstrated ability to design/lead work that addresses this audience’s needs.
Familiarity with local government work and municipal stakeholders.
Experience engaging with international organizations active in entrepreneurship and innovation.
